We can
During the last election the ruling Party won by less than 3,500 votes in a Borough with more than 216,000 voters. In some wards the margins of victory were remarkably narrow, for example: 8 votes in Bentley and 66 votes in Askern. Given recent and ongoing negative publicity with respect to the current administration, the chances of winning the mayoral election haven't been better for two generations. We are seeing the beginnings of a ground swell of support. Every day we hear from people who have never voted Conservative, but who believe that there needs to be a new moderate, Conservative Mayor in Doncaster for the Town to achieve its promise: former miners, labourers, shopkeepers, publicans, teachers, nurses and many others. Please join us on our journey and vote 'Wood' for Mayor of Doncaster in June 2009. Even better, bring a friend to vote who will also help to elect the new Mayor.
